Sörmland Vatten och Avfall AB is responsible for producing and delivering drinking water of good quality, managing and treating wastewater, and handling household waste responsibly. We utilize our by-products by producing and delivering climate-friendly biogas and returning plant nutrients to productive farmland.

We are looking for someone who wants to work for sustainable community development with exciting tasks under the guiding principles of engagement, openness, and participation.

Sörmland Vatten och Avfall AB is in an expansive development phase, which means we need to recruit project managers to meet the opportunities and challenges we face.

What will you do?

You will drive and be responsible for investment projects in our three municipalities, Flen, Katrineholm, and Vingåker. The projects may involve renovation or new construction of or at our technical facilities. The work includes everything from developing project plans and documents to procurement and construction, as well as ensuring that project goals regarding economy, quality, and delivery are achieved. Your tasks will also include follow-up and reporting to steering groups and other stakeholders. You will work together with designers and project managers in our project department but will also have continuous contact and collaboration with other departments internally as well as with customers, consultants, contractors, municipalities, residents, and authorities. It is a varied job where you will have the opportunity to develop and grow in your professional role. The projects you lead are of different character but mainly involve the renewal of pipelines and facilities and the expansion of water and sewage in transformation and development areas. Management of projects within waste management and other types of projects may occur. The company's project activities and investments amount to approximately 300 million per year, with many ongoing and planned projects of various sizes.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience working as a project manager, alternatively as a construction manager or site manager within the construction industry, water and sewage, or infrastructure projects. Ideally, you have been a project manager for construction projects within the public sector. We specifically value knowledge in AMA, construction law, and procurement (LOU/LUF) as well as experience in project administration. The work requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone who is confident with good collaboration skills. To succeed in the job, you are driven and have a structured working method as you will have several projects in different stages ongoing simultaneously. You drive the projects forward and weigh together different types of considerations and show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. You are flexible to changes and make correct assessments and priorities in the projects. Since you will have many points of contact, your social competence is important. You lead through others and engage and inspire your employees towards common goals.
